Reviews and Ratings
My stay at this hotel was delightful. The check-in process was quick and welcoming, providing me with all the essential information about the local area. The room was exceptional, offering not only a cozy space but also access to free talks, films, and assistance from a naturalist. The hotel even had convenient facilities like a laundry, boot room, and drying room for wet clothes.
The hotel had very high ceilings which gave a grand feeling. The rooms were spotlessly clean and contained quality furnishings along with a sensibly sized bathroom, but it was a bit warm and even with the window open, it was very hot all night with no way to cool it down. The service was exceptional with very friendly staff who went out of their way to assist and provide personalized touches. The location was perfect to explore the north and east of Scotland with an abundance of activities available nearby. The dining experience was superb overall, although there was a minor disappointment with the serving size of sausages. The facilities were top-notch, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
The hotel is ideally located for nature enthusiasts, offering easy access to the Cairngorm plateau and wildlife sightings. The rooms are basic but comfortable, providing essential amenities for a good night's sleep. The service is outstanding with a dedicated and friendly team. The central location allows for convenient exploration of Grantown on Spey with various dining options nearby. The dining experience offers hot dishes but could benefit from more variety. Facilities are adequate for a comfortable stay.
The hotel offers a wealth of information and experienced guides for wildlife enthusiasts. The rooms, though not accessible by a lift, are equally good. The friendly service, genuine in approach, shines through with attention even towards dogs. The location is excellent for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and hikers, with good connectivity to various attractions. The dining experience is very nice and central, especially appealing to birders and nature enthusiasts with its excellent reference library. A standout feature is the access to nature adventures and walks, with the only drawback being limited by the absence of an elevator.
